These are the last few pictures I have taken of Ana Bella! Next Monday she will be 2 and will officially not be a baby anymore (well, she will always be MY baby!!). I have tons of pictures to post of our recent trip to see my mom and will have more after her birthday party!!

Sunday we decided to hit up Sonic for Happy Hour and of course get my favorite Dr. Pepper! Ana Bella just had to have a little drink...yes I occasionally let her have some Dr. Pepper! And how cute is she???

Ana Bella has kinda started winking, but it ends up more of a blinking, but it is cute all the same!!!

She LOVES her Daddy!! When you tell her to give you a kiss, she will lean into you and

giving her forehead or check so you can give her a kiss!!
How cute is she??? Mimzy, my mom, sent her the cute shoes!! They are the ones that squeak! They are fun for about 2 minutes and then its time to take the squeaker out! But Ana Bella loves them!

We went to the Wonder Place a few Fridays ago w/a girl from my work and her daughter! Ana Bella LOVED this area! She kept going up and down the ramps!

She also loved this little house thing and opening and closin the door...she does this at home all the time! I guess we are going to have to contact our contractor and see if he can fix us up w/one of these!!

Life although wonderful, has been crazy and busy!! Life with a toddler is so much fun, but exhausting all the same!! Here are a few pictures from the past few months....in no particular order!!

Ok, on this one. let me just start by saying this is the house we grew up in, the only house my brother ever lived in! Not once, not one single time did my dad put up Christmas lights for us! But when we went home for Thanksgiving, this is what we drove up to! All for Ana Bella! And he said that this is just the beginning!!

DaDa/PaPa..she uses both for Alejandro! How sweet are they!! I love my little family!!

July has been a busy month! I feel like Ana Bella has gone from 0 to 60 in 2 seconds! She is a super crawler, is pulling up, feeding herself and talking all the time! She is so much fun, but quite a handful! I just love watching her discover new things! Here are a few pictures from the last month!

9 Months Old!!

Ana Bella turned nine months on the 14th! I can't believe how fast it has gone by! She is starting to act and look like a little girl instead of a baby! Kind of sad, but this age is so much fun! We went today for Ana Bella's nine month check up and it went great! Here are a few stats on her:
-she weighs 19 lbs
-she is 27 inches long
-she started crawling last week and is already a pro!
-she can say her d's, m's, b's, g's and working on t's
-she is pulling to her knees, but not standing up yet
-she will go to anyone that wants to hold her and is a big flirt with the guys!
-she has 2 teeth on the bottom and seems to be working on a few more
-she loves the water! every time I have to get her out of the bath she throws the biggest fit and she loves swimming in the pool!
We are having so much fun watching her discover new things and developing her little personality!

Ana Bella hasn't started crawling yet, but she moves around in circles to get where she wants and what she wants!!

We have been super busy lately! I started a new job!! Alejandro has been working non-stop!! And Ana Bella is growing and growing and growing!!

Ana Bella is 8 months old!! She is doing so much now! She is a little rolling queen and is working on crawling, but tends to only move in a circle or backwards! She has two teeth on the bottom and as always is so active!! We are just amazed daily by the things she does and "says"!!

We are so excited for the summer!! Alejandro's sister and her husband have a pool and I can't wait for Ana Bella to take her first swim!! Plus Ana Bella will have several new friends this summer....Addelyn Harrison, Baylee Busch, and Baby Smith, so we can't wait for their arrivals and to meet them! And Alejandro is going to Honduras with our church on a mission trip at the end of June! Besides that we are planning a pretty low key summer!!

Pretty girl! Somehow she inherited all the recessive genes in the family...blue eyes and light hair. But one thing she did inherit is her daddy's ear that sticks out! Ana Bella's left ear sticks out and Alejandro's right ear sticks out, so there is no denying her!!!!

Ana Bella went Friday for her 6 month check-up! The doctor said she looks great! She weighed 17lbs 9oz (90th percentile), is 25 3/4 in long (50th percentile) and her head, I can't remember the exact measurement, but it did prompt the doctor to make the "she kinda has a big head" comment!!! But she gets it honest!! She is still only rolling from her back to her belly (which the doctor said was kinda strange) and she is starting to sit up pretty good by herself! Ana Bella has two meals of cereal or oatmeal and either a fruit or veggie! She eats like a champ and doesn't turn down anything! I really hope this continues! And she has said her first word!!! DaDa! We can't figure out if she knows what she is saying or not, but Alejandro loves it!!! Here is Ana Bella sitting up and playing like a big girl!

We had a great, low-key Easter. We went to Mass, then to breakfast with the family, home for a little nap and photo session and then over to Alejandro's sister's for dinner. Easter is one of my favorite holidays! I used to love going to church and then over to my Mamaw's for the biggest feast you have ever seen and then an Easter egg hunt with my cousins! I can't wait for Ana Bella to experience it!! Here are a few pictures from our little home photo session! We are going this weekend to have some professionally done and hope to be able to post some of those!!!

A Week of Firsts

Last Tuesday began a week of firsts for Ana Bella. On Tuesday she started going to daycare, over the weekend she rode in her stroller like a big girl, she got to see snow for the first time, and yesterday she had her first taste of fruits!

I also had a first on Tuesday....I started back to work. It was the first time I have really left Ana Bella anywhere!! We have spent a little over 5 months together and leaving her at daycare was the hardest thing I have done! Ana Bella did great and all the ladies said she was so great and sweet! I am pretty sure she really likes it! When I went to pick her up on the first day, I was so excited and wanted to love all over her and wanted her to love on me! Well, she was too busy checking everyone else out and seeing what they were doing!! And then on top of that she feel asleep on the way home!!!

This weekend will also bring on a few firsts as Ana Bella will get to meet some more of her "aunts" for the first time and she will be going to her first shower to celebrate the coming arrival of Addelyn Harrison!

First I want to say that Alejandro and I have truly been blessed with Ana Bella. She is the happiest, sweetest, funniest baby! She is happy from the moment she wakes up until she goes to bed! The only time she gets fussy is when she is hungry or needs a diaper change, but who wouldn't!! Anyone at any time can talk to her and she will give the biggest smile! Speaking of the smile, it is the best! She wrinkles her little nose and gives a big open mouth smile, normally with her tongue sticking out! And she is starting to laugh so much! I have decided that she is going to be quite the character! Sometimes when I go to pick her up she does this funny little laugh, like "ah, hah". It is great. And she is quite the flirt! We have noticed her flashing those big blue eyes several times at the boys....we are headed for trouble! Ana Bella has also started rolling over. She is a champ rolling from her back to her tummy, but getting back over is a little more difficult! She is starting to eat her veggies like a good girl! The green beans are still a little bit of a challenge, but she loves squash and sweet potatoes! We are amazed daily by the things she does! Ana Bella will be 5 months old tomorrow!! She is growing so fast!! She is so happy all the time!! The only times she really gets upset is when she needs a diaper change and when she is hungry!! She smiles all the time too!! We are learning she is a little flirt!! She is a lot more active and grabbing/touching/scratching things all the time!! We are waiting for her first tooth to erupt! She has two little buds on the bottom, but nothing yet!! We have also started her on ceral, which she loves, but green beans on the other hand...not so much! She has been attempting to roll over and has been successful a few times!! We are just having so much fun getting to know Ana Bella and watching her grow!

On Sunday, January 20th, we had Ana Bella's baptism. It was such a special and beautiful ceremony. She was wonderful and only fussed a little when they laid her back to pour the water on her head. She had so many friends and family come and celebrate and made it that much more special! Afterwards we went to Alejandro's sister's house. It was so great to have everyone together to celebrate this special occasion.

Four Month Well Baby Visit

Last Thursday Ana Bella had her four month well baby visit/check-up. The doctor said that she looks great! She is 15 lbs 5 1/2 oz and is 24 1/2 in long. She did a wonderful job and only got mad because she was hungry!

Christmas this year was the best! Although Ana Bella didn't know what was going on, she made it so much fun! Since we have been out of the hospital, Ana Bella has continued to get better and is getting so active! Tomorrow she will be three months and I can't believe how fast time has gone by! At three months Ana Bella is:

-holding her head up for longer periods of time and loves to "sit up"

-starting to really "talk"

-give the biggest smile when we talk to her

-in love with her hands and tries to consume them constantly

-so wonderful and amazing and the joy of her mommy's heart!

AR Children's Hospital

As always, the past few weeks have been crazy! The first weekend this month we had to take Ana Bella to the hospital. She became very congested, had a horrible cough, was sleeping so much we had to wake her up to feed her (and everyone that knows Ana Bella, knows she doesn't miss a feeding!!) and had a fever. After two visits to the emergency room we were admitted and stayed 3 nights at the hospital. The first night we were there they ran a catheter for a urine sample, started an IV and did a spinal tap. There is nothing worse in the world than seeing your child in pain and not being able to do anything! Then it was just a waiting game from there to make sure all the cultures and tests came back normal....and they did!! This is something I hope we never have to go through again!!

We have had a busy holiday season so far! We went to Camden to spend Thanksgiving with my family and then headed back to Little Rock to welcome one of Alejandro's cousins visiting from Mexico!

Ana Bella is growing so much! She had her first shots a few weeks ago! She was such a trooper! She is really starting to interact with us and is so alert! I just can't get enough of her!

Ana Bella is two months old today! I can't believe how fast it has gone by! She is getting so big and is so much fun!! She started sucking her thumb today! She has been putting her hand in her mouth, but today was the first day she just sucked her thumb! I guess she was trying to show out for Aunt Ally (thanks for having us over)!!! We went to Camden over the weekend for opening weekend of deer season! Alejandro killed his first deer, a doe on Sunday! Very exciting!! He was the only one to get a deer!!!

Ana Bella had her picture taken with Santa, she did great! I was just so excited that she was awake during the pictures!! I can't wait to see them!!

We also got to spend some time with the Crowders! Camille is so cute and fun!!! And it was great to see Tom and Kristin!

Here are some recent pictures of Ana Bella. She is getting so big! We had to go to the doctor Wednesday, we thought she had a cold, but luckily it is just a little congestion. They weighed her while we were there and much to my surprise she already weighs 12lbs! She has almost doubled in size since birth!! Ana Bella seems to have a new "trick" everyday! Her hand is slowly finding its way to her mouth! At times it seems like she is concentrating and trying so hard to get her hand in her mouth, but it normally only stays there for a few seconds! And she loves sticking her tongue out! She is so much fun and I am enjoying every minute with her!

Past Few Weeks

A lot has been going on over the past few weeks. Ana Bella and I made a trip to Memphis to let Grandma take care of us while I recovered from having my gall bladder removed. We had a great time! We also made another trip to Camden and celebrated Halloween!

Ana Bella is growing so fast. I can't believe that she will be 7 weeks on Friday!! She is becoming more alert and responsive and is starting to smile and keep her head up for longer periods of time. I just fall in love more and more everyday!

Here is our attempt at keeping up with things....

Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since the arrival of our Ana Bella. It has gone by so fast and so much has gone on! She has already changed so much and we hear that will just continue to happen and happen way too fast! We are so in love and are so blessed to have such a sweet and perfect little girl! She is a great baby! She does have her days and nights mixed up right now, but I can't complain! We have already made several outings and even made a trip down to Camden. We are so excited and can't wait to see what is to come! Hopefully we will be able to keep this up and will be able to stay in touch with friends and family!
